Open- Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam
½ lb. Open-Cell SPF
½ lb. spray polyurethane foam insulation is an open-cell, two
component, low density, water-blown system specifically designed
for insulation applications. This technologically advanced,
economical insulation system provides improved occupant comfort,
a cleaner indoor environment, greater noise reduction and
superior energy savings over conventional insulation systems.
Unique Properties: ½ lb. spray
polyurethane foam insulation expands 120:1 from its original
liquid state, filling cracks, voids, crevices and building
cavities to provide a climate controlled building environment.
By mitigating airflow through and within walls (infiltration and
ex-filtration), heat and cold transfer (also called thermal
conductivity) moisture accumulation in the building materials
are reducing the chance for mold and mildew to accumulate,
populate grow It also minimizes the transfer of sound.
Stability: ½ lb. SPF will not
settle, shrink, or deteriorate, and it is guaranteed to retain
its R-value and noise-reduction qualities over the life of your
home.
Recommended Uses: ½ lb. insulation
may be used for residential, commercial or industrial
structures. It can also be applied to the underside of roof
decks to form conditioned attic areas. Or in non-vented crawl
spaces for greater energy savings. JHMorrow is
a SPF experienced Contractor.
Green: ½ lb. SPF is a
(environmentally friendly) green insulation product developed
from natural resources, as well as a friendly blowing agent with
zero Ozone Depletion.
- SPF ½ lb. foam makes an air tight seal by expanding in
place.
- SPF ½ lb. foam minimizes the transfer of sound (noise
reduction).
- SPF ½ lb. foam is the workhorse of all spray foam
products.
- SPF ½ lb. foam saves the environment and your wallet.
- SPF ½ lb. foam allows applications for unvented attic
spaces.

Flash and Batt
Flash and batt is a perfect way to add foam to an estimate
and also keep the fiber glass portion the same. Example 1” to 2”
of Closed cell foam and then a fiber glass batt are used to
reach the desired R- value. We can also install closed cell as a
vapor barrier.

Closed-Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam
2 lb. SPF is a high density,
closed-cell spray polyurethane insulation. This two part liquid
system quickly expands to fill all gaps and voids. It then cures
to form a fully adhered, solid, monolithic insulation envelop.
The resulting insulation barrier offers many benefits that
standard fiberglass insulation cannot match nor obtain.
Efficiency: SPF 2 lb. foam’s R-value
is approximately R-6.8 per inch, compared to fiberglass batting
insulation which is about R-3.5. SPF’s ability to stop air
infiltration and eliminate convective looping saves the
homeowner an estimated 40% on energy bills.
Structural
Rigidity: SPF also adds structural rigidity to your
project. In a test conducted by the National Association of Home
Builders Research Center, it was concluded that a 2” x 4” wall
sprayed with polyurethane foam insulation had two times the
racking strength of a wall filled with fiberglass batting
insulation.
- Added racking strength to all walls with SPF.
- SPF is a vapor barrier when installed in all cavity’s.
- Your house becomes a conditioned living space through out.
- SPF will last the life of your home.
- SPF is sprayed in place and custom fitted into your project.
Green: Besides its dramatic energy
savings, SPF is formulated from renewable agricultural resources
and uses a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly blowing
agent with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). JHMorrow is
leading the way for C-2 Insulation contractor to be green
Contractors!
Comfort:
The closed-cell, fully adhered structure of 2 lb. SPF
forms a low permeance air seal that blocks air infiltration,
noise pollution and water vapor movement. Often the need for
additional air barriers and vapor barriers is totally
eliminated. By controlling water vapor, condensation will not
occur, thus eliminating the moisture that supports mold growth.
Our manufacturers blend an anti-microbial component into the SPF
to additionally inhibit bacterial growth.

Attics
It is estimated that 60% of your energy loss is out of your
attic space. The main reason for this is due to air flow. When
your attic is vented you allow air flow into and out of your
home. We all know hot air rises and it goes up to your attic and
out. With Spray foam insulation we spray right to your roof
decking as seen in our picture. By spraying your roof decking we
make your attic space a non-vented conditioned living space.
This can save you anywhere from 20% to 40% in energy costs.

Roofing Systems
Spray Polyurethane Foam Roofing System SPF roofing systems
are designed to stop leaks, add superior insulation value,
reduce building movement, and many others. SPF roofing systems
offer exceptional wind resistance, eliminates seams and joints,
builds positive drainage and has a weather resistant coating.
SPF roofing system is a rigid, closed cell foam created by a
combination of two liquid components which react in seconds and
can be walked on in a matter of minutes. These roofs provide
high-compressive strengths that increase durability, endure foot
traffic, and resist impact and storm damage.
Minimize energy use: Thermal
considerations can be divided into two general categories:
control of heat loss and heat gained, and the affects of
extremes and variations of temperature on the roof system. By
emitting thermal radiation and reflecting solar radiation, a
roof system can control both the heat loss and heat gained to
reduce the roof temperature extremes, improve the durability of
the total roof system and reduces energy used to cool and heat
the structure.
Many large companies and institutions have documented energy
savings from the use of SPF roofing systems. Texas A& M
calculated the energy consumption of its buildings before and
after the application of SPF roofing systems. According to the
study of more than eight million square feet of SPF roofing,
energy savings paid for the cost of Texas A & M’s SPF roof
applications in three to four years
