10+ Steps for Exterior Painting

1. Sweep eves and overhangs, remove spider webs and check for damage
2. Pressure-wash thoroughly, remove mold and mildew
3. Scrape and sand any areas as needed (i.e. old peeling paint)
4. Caulk window and door casings, cracks, and putty holes
5. Remove and replace fixtures
6. Prime raw wood
7. Repair any stucco damage
8. Mask off plants, concrete, windows, doors, etc.
9. Paint – spray, backroll and brush
10. Unmask and perform touch-up
11. Walk through

10 Steps for Interior Painting (Since each job is unique, this is only an example.)

1. Cover a path to the area that is to be painted
2. Mask off windows, doors, floors, furniture, cabinets and fixtures
3. Remove electrical outlet and switch covers
4. Caulk window and door casings, cracks, and
putty holes
5. Repair any drywall damage
6. Prime walls and trim, if necessary
7. Apply 2 coats of paint – spray, roll and brush
8. Unmask everything
9. Perform touch-up
10. Walk through
